Swimming in the Aare

The hot early-summer weather was the perfect opportunity to get the dogs into the river. Under the lead of experienced Dexter, me swimming a bit further out and some encouragement, Farkas got in and swam like a chainsaw – and that’s what I looked like after the swim since I let him get too close to me.

At least, very tired again at home, so lounging by the pool…

Meeting Süti

As you can see, there are plenty of other Vizslas around to meet and play with. Here’s Süti, a 2-year old rescue from Hungary. Very little is known about his past, but Hands4Paws, a great institution rescuing hunting dogs and then finding new homes for them, certainly did a good job in getting him out of his misery. He is now living nearby, together with an older Vizsla lady and the owner, a long-time Vizsla person.

Meeting Gondos

Visit to my parents and Gondos, somehow a distant relative and so similar in character it seems. And he is nice enough to let me steal his favorite toys, sleep in (and scratch up!) his daybed and to show me his favorite forest trails

Spring is setting in

…which means the grass is getting greener, higher and smellier and it is really interesting to run about

Puppy school

With my sister and a series of new friends and a surprising lot of other Vizslas in other classes and from the instructor herself, I do actually like puppy school
