After three weeks in Scotland, we crossed the invisible – visible border back into England and spent the day in the Yorkshire Dales. With another Steam Train. What a coincidence.
Roadtrip back south across the “border”, with a seaside visit at St Abbs
Upon return to Glasgow, a casual stroll along the water at dusk
Another special flight, this time departing from Glasgow International Airport in a small Twin Otter – the world’s only scheduled flight to land on a tidal beach on Barra Island.
Roadtrip across the Highlands to Dunblane in variable weather and to some impressive sights.
… and what do you there (after reading up about long queues and impossible parking)? Right, you go there anyway to watch the Jacobite Steam Train roll in, aka the Harry Potter train. And I must say, it is quite impressive and moving, actually.
