Circling the waterfalls and colorful bays of and near Isle of Skye
… or rather racing it…
Return trip from Orkney to the mainland. We visited the famous Italian chapel near one of the causeways on our way to the Ferry. In the evening, there was a clear sky revealing the Milky Way as we approached the Highlands again.

The world’s shortest scheduled, regular flight. No comment.
The weather was marvelous so we really needed to benefit from it and went on several discovery tours, including to the “Capital” as well as the main historic attraction, Ring of Brodgar.
An early morning provided the perfect sunrise at the Circle of Stenness as well as one of the famous (albeit small) lighthouses on what they call Orkney “mainland”, the main island.
Traveling up the North Coast with impressive, steep cliffs to the old settlements and protected areas on Orkney.
Driving along the shore (Eastern Side) of Loch Ness to be blessed with waterfalls and rainbows, but no Nessie.
