New England 2019-1: Scenic Vermont

Bridging a few days between the Florida trip and appointments in New York, I took to the woods and small villages of New England. Here, a few impressions of the scenic road trip across New Hampshire and into Vermont to reach the Green Mountains.

Curacao 2019-5: Willemstad and Blue Room

No visit to Curacao is complete without visiting the colorful alleys and row of houses in the capital of Willemstad.
And while probably not a secret anymore, a super exciting kayak trip along the northwest coast takes you to what’s known as the Blue Room, a cave that can just about be entered by diving through a small opening in the cliff face.

Curacao 2019-4: Best of turtle

There are many dives that you can do on Curacao that will let you meet Turtles. Playa Grandi may be the most famous and crowded, but not necessarily the one that will be most memorable. Double reef in an unlikely space next to the water treatment plant just off the capital is a much more interesting dive.

Curacao 2019-3: Tiny underwater stuff

Diving the tug boat beach is a wonderful combination of aging infrastructure (the old boat that can be crossed underneath with great views of the installations) and then plentiful fish life, in particular the tiny stuff.
