The classics in Western Iceland – from Reykholt to Thingvellir, Geysir and Godafoss and then across the “easiest” highland route – Kjölur, the first of the F-roads we would try. In the highlands, we stopped at Hveravellir for a hot tub pit stop in the driving rain, which was regularly interchanging with shine.
