The castles of Brühl are part of the UNESCO world heritage. A quick summer walk in the park before another thunderstom passed above.
Spent an evening with two tripods and the intention to create a series of time lapses of the sunset near the Cologne cathedral and Severins bridge across the Rhine. Here a few stills.
The area has a few very good car enthusiast spots to offer, not least the Classic Car Remise in Düsseldorf, also architectonically a very nice place. And I could see myself owning a bit of car space there to store a few gems.
Later, I had to return the Porsche only to pick up an EV, an all-electric Jaguar that would prove very fun to drive but very challenging to arrive at destinations in. More to come…

One of the few summer pleasures took me to Northrhine-Westphalia to UNESCO world heritage site Zeche Zollverein. It happened to be in a red small Porsche.
Months after my last trip and as Corona cases reached a low in 2020, I felt ready for a trip and spent an extended weekend in Northrhine-Westphalia around Dusseldorf and Cologne. City, Coal mining and here, landscapes.
Bike trip via Wisen and Wisner Flue, a prominent limestone outcrop above the village of Wisen, to Challhöchi, where the best sunsets can be observed in the region.

Spent a long evening in the drumlin fields around Menzingen like many years ago – but with much better camera equipment (and a bit more knowledge, too). The Oelegg location I found still to be the best one for a Western panorama with a set of these glacial hills. And I had the drone with me, too, to get a few aerial evening shots as well.
A long evening for a timelapse at the viewpoint for Neu Falkenstein castle ruins also yielded a few individual shots.
