Spring time in Linn, Aargovia

Linn is famous for its oldest and cherished linden tree, located in the Jura chain mountains and small limestone valleys near Basel, Switzerland. It is early spring but first green has appeared.

Hurghada Diving – day 1

Day 1 of macro photography while diving with “Diver’s Lodge” off Hurghada, Red Sea, Egypt.
Due to the rough seas on this day, we were mostly limited to the sheltered, shallow area of El Fanus close to the main coast, but nice location nevertheless.

Frozen waterfalls in Illinois state parks

Although it was well below freezing, the hikes through the sandstone canyons of Starved Rock and Matthiessen State Parks in central Illinois were well worth the effort. Frozen waterfalls, ice sculptures and eddies in the icy creek were a fantastical spectacle you can only see when the conditions are right.

Elsigenalp flight 2018

First post in 2018, and first skiing in 2018, and first flight in 2018, too.
Friends took us to little known ski resort Elsigenalp between Frutigen and Adelboden, and we took the drone.

Sunrise above Thur river

It was an icy morning and yet a good decision to spend the early hours with frozen fingers operating my copter to get a few stray patches of fog and the sunrise above Thur river, once near Pfyn and once near Frauenfeld in my home canton.
