As in 2012 when I prepared for my sabbatical, I was very happy just a few weeks back to receive my new DSLR camera, the all-new Canon EOS 5 Ds. Or not so new – the body is totally the same as the “old” 5D Mark III I was and will still be using. But the revolution in the sensor with 50 megapixel resolution as well as the mirror release that Canon needed to redesign alongside are truly amazing.

I spent one night in the old town and along the Aare river front in Olten to test it all out.
