The Chewing gum accident
Here’s a neat little outflow of Pahoehoe lava into one of the “twin craters” at Ka’u Desert Trail. I would call this the “chewing gum” accident.
By the way, the beeping noise in the background that you hear is my SO2-meter getting “a bit elevated levels” as the hike is downwind from the currenly active vent at Halema’uma’u.
