Back inside Hawai’i Volcanoes NP

I am back and traveling inside Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park. Such a warm welcome, so many memories, and such a great day to start my couple days in the park. Nene flying by, Amakihi and Apapane in the trees, moon, stars and Halema’uma’u glowing at night, and a great hike down into the caldera, where the trail seems to be a bit overgrown. Nobody doing the ‘Into the Volcano’ guided hike anymore? 😉
