The Flatirons are a nicely shaped, easy to reach promontory of the Rocky Mountains just outside of Boulder, Colorado. The special shapes works best as a silhouette after sunset so I headed out to the Flatirons Vista trail one evening.

Curacao 2019-5: Willemstad and Blue Room
No visit to Curacao is complete without visiting the colorful alleys and row of houses in the capital of Willemstad.
And while probably not a secret anymore, a super exciting kayak trip along the northwest coast takes you to what’s known as the Blue Room, a cave that can just about be entered by diving through a small opening in the cliff face.

There are many dives that you can do on Curacao that will let you meet Turtles. Playa Grandi may be the most famous and crowded, but not necessarily the one that will be most memorable. Double reef in an unlikely space next to the water treatment plant just off the capital is a much more interesting dive.
