Luckily this is considered a public space and quite well frequented by tourists and locals alike. So I was able to capture long exposure pictures and timelapses with no hassles at all. Reading up on a blog, I was already afraid as other photographers covering the city of Washington D.C. with timelapse projects had been hassled quite frequently in their work before.
